International operations

On the international front, SAGIA’s international offices are created to bridge the gap between foreign investors and Saudi Arabia. SAGIA has empowered these offices to issue investment licenses in their host countries.

This initiative made Saudi Arabia the first country in the world to offer such service to foreign investors. We also go beyond this basic role to offer other services that include:

  • branding Saudi Arabia as a prime location for doing business
  • promoting investment opportunities available in Saudi Arabia and its newly created Economic Cities
  • providing data needed by investors to make the right investment decisions
  • providing match-making services by introducing foreign investors to local investors, and vice-versa
  • following-up and assisting foreign investors during the post-licensing phase
  • helping our foreign investors with obtaining special incentive packages to base their businesses in Saudi Arabia
  • assisting other International Promotion Agencies (IPAs), Governments and privately linked organisations in entering and getting connected to the Saudi market.

SAGIA’s international offices or the ‘Triple 3 strategy’ was envisioned by His Excellency Amr Al-Dabbagh, Governor and Chairman of the Board of SAGIA, to create and operate 33 international offices in 3 years’ time. Since the execution of this strategy, in one year, to be precise, we have created and are currently operating 10 offices covering the GCC, Europe, USA and Asia.
